Welcome to the NWRPC Team: Cody Kamrowski

Cody Kamrowski joined the NWRPC team in February 2017 as a Community Development Planner. Cody adds a lot of positivity and energy and we are excited to have him as an addition to the staff.

Cody Kamrowski
What qualifications and/or work experience do you have that pertain to your position at NWRPC?
As a recent college graduate, it is hard to bring college experiences to the professional/career world. But I was particularly prepared for this position through two summer internships I had in Washington D.C. I was a government and policy affairs fellow for a renewable energy non-government organization and I interned in a congressional office. These experiences taught me valuable lessons on holistically approaching any situation/problem and any situation/problem takes several solutions because of the different stakeholders involved.

What attracted you to want to work with this organization?
There were many things that drew me to this organization and this area. This area has deep cultural, historic and natural beauty and this organization plays a critical role in preserving and enhancing these beauties. Being able to make this region an even better place was something I could not simply pass up.

What are you most proud of accomplishing in the past few years?
I was selected to address my college graduating class as their student speaker. I got to deliver a speech about believing in yourself and the power of breaking out of your comfort zone to a 5,000 person audience.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I enjoy being in the outdoors and I enjoy getting others involved and inspired by the outdoors. I have also recently joined my local fire department which has been a great experience meeting people and making a difference in the community that I am a new member of.
