The Recycling Control Commission is a two-county intergovernmental unit which was created to provide recycling and waste management services. The programs serve the residents of Washburn and Burnett counties. Following are a few of the services provided, please click on the following links for more information:

- Recycling of special materials such as appliances, tires, computers, fluorescent bulbs, used oil, oil filters and various battery types.
- Plans and coordinates hazardous waste collections for the two-county area.

- Ensure the marketing of all collected materials.
- The writing of grants and reports for applicable programs.
