Chattering Squirrel Cafe in Siren Repays Loan
News
The Chattering Squirrel Coffee Cafe Siren, recently became the first NW Wisconsin business affected by either the Siren or Ladysmith tornadoes to repay a NW Wisconsin Business Development Corporation Emergency Loan. The Emergency Revolving Loan Fund was set-up by NW Regional Planning Commission, through the effects of Congressman Dave Obey, to assist businesses and communities in rebuilding after the tornadoes. Chattering Squirrel Cafe owners Peggy and Jim Tolbert commented in paying off the loan, “This loan was a great help as we rebuilt after the tornado.” “Thanks again for your assistance.” The proceeds of the loan repayment will be made available to help other businesses facing similar emergency circumstances in the future.
