Grantsburg Enterprise Center Groundbreaking
Economic Development
The NW Regional Planning Commission was proud to host a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Grantsburg Enterprise Center on Thursday, August 23rd. It is our pleasure to be able to open this center to help the Village of Grantsburg grow in the future.
The village of Grantsburg will have a new business enterprise center in its north industrial park in the early part of 2008. Groundbreaking was held for the $1 million project on August 23rd, 2007. A pre-engineered steel building with nearly 20,000 square feet will be available for start-up companies to operate their business in without the expense of having to construct their own buildings.
The new building will replace the current enterprise center located along Pine Street in Downtown Grantsburg.
As soon as the new enterprise center is complete, the old center will be demolished and the lot will return to the village.
The project was funded in part by an economic development grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce that provided $500,000 in matching funds, and a loan of $250,000 from the NW Regional Planning Commission.
