NW Affordable Housing Offers Funds to City of Ladysmith Residents
Northwest Affordable HousingThe City of Ladysmith was selected to receive $560,000 from Wisconsin?s Division of Housing and Community Development to be used towards owner-occupied housing repairs, renter-occupied housing repairs, and down payment and closing costs for renters seeking to purchase a home.
The housing rehabilitation program will assist eligible low- to moderate-income (LMI) households who are at or below 80 percent of the county median household income level. The income limits for LMI households are: 1 person-$30,750; 2 persons-$35,100; 3 persons-$39,500; 4 persons-$43,900; 5 persons-$47,400; 6 persons-$50,900; 7 persons-$54,450; and 8 persons-$57,950.
Under the owner-occupied housing rehabilitation program, zero percent, deferred-payment loan funds are available to make major repairs or replacement to heating, plumbing, electrical, siding, doors, windows, foundation and structure, roof, and water or sewer laterals.
Under the home purchase program, renters seeking to purchase a home can receive zero percent, deferred-payment loan funds to be used to pay up to one-half of the required down payment and eligible closing costs.
Landlords may also make major repairs to rental units. Funds used on rental unit repairs will be subject to zero percent interest rates with up to ten years in which to payback the loan. Tenant income restrictions apply to the rental units for the first five years.
