NWRPC Receives NADO Award
October 25th, 2007The Northwest Regional Planning Commission, Wisconsin Business Innovation Corporation in Spooner Wisconsin received a 2007 Innovation Award from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) for their Botanic Oil Innovations Inc.
NADO is a Washington, DC-based association that promotes programs and policies that strengthen local governments, communities and economies through regional cooperation, program delivery and comprehensive strategies. The associations Innovation Awards program recognizes regional development organizations and partnering organizations for improving the economic and community competitiveness of our nations regions and local communities. Award winners were showcased during NADOs 2007 Annual Training Conference, August 25-28 in Austin, Texas.
According to NADO President Dan Bollinger, Executive Director of Southwest Georgia Regional Planning Center in Camilla, Georgia, Each year, Innovation Awards showcase the creativity and significant, long-term impact of numerous regional programs and projects like the Botanic Oil Innovations Inc., that are key to sustaining and preserving the environmental, economic and cultural heritage of our nations regions and local communities.
