NWRPC’s housing program provides administrative services to many local housing rehabilitation programs throughout the region.
The Commission continues its long-standing administration of housing rehabilitation for:
The Counties of:

  • Bayfield
  • Sawyer
  • Washburn

The Cities of:

  • Bayfield
  • Ladysmith
  • Spooner
  • Washburn
  • Phillips
  • Park Falls

As well as the Towns of:

  • Swiss in Burnett County

And the Villages of:

  • Rib Lake in Taylor County

Potentially eligible housing rehabilitation projects includes:

  • foundation
  • septic and wells
  • handicapped accessibility
  • siding
  • heating
  • electrical
  • windows and doors

Northwest Affordable Housing continues to make available housing rehabilitation and down payment assistance to eligible low- to moderate-income clients throughout the ten-counties NWRPC serves Click here for the NWAH Mission Statement. Northwest Affordable Housing provides financial assistance in the form of a zero percent interest, deferred payment loan for housing rehabilitation or to purchase a home. The borrower pays the loan back once the dwelling no longer remains the owner’s principal place of residence.
