Northwest Affordable Housing, who provides funding assistance to qualified clients in the Counties of Burnett, Washburn, Sawyer, Rusk, Price, Taylor, Iron, Ashland, Bayfield and Douglas, announces financial assistance in the form of a zero percent interest, deferred payment loan for housing rehabilitation or to purchase a home. The borrower pays the loan back once the dwelling no longer remains the owner?s principal place of residence. Projects include: roofing, siding, heating, electrical, windows and doors, insulation, foundation, sewer, septic and wells, and handicapped accessibility.

Mission & Purpose
NW Affordable Housing, Inc. will be a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization which will develop, own and manage affordable housing in the public interest.
The mission of NW Affordable Housing, Inc. will be to provide safe, decent housing with security from displacement to low- to- moderate- income households. NW Affordable Housing, Inc. will target groups such as low and moderate income households, physically handicapped households, elderly households, and special needs households. The mission will include the following areas:
- To develop, own, and manage affordable housing units.
- To access resources to assist households repair their homes.
- To access resources to assist households purchase homes.
- To acquire rehabilitate vacant and substandard housing units to provide affordable rental units.
- To educate and allow low and moderate income households to acquire or assume ownership of corporate property as debt service is retired.
- To provide technical assistance to communities and other housing organizations to develop affordable housing.
The Board of Directors of NW Affordable Housing, Inc. will be comprised of seven board members representing the interests of low-to-moderate-income households.
