Northwest Wisconsin Business Development Corporation
The staff of the Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NWRPC) provides technical assistance to the Northwest Wisconsin Business Development Corporation (NWBDC), Wisconsin Business Innovation Corporation (WBIC) and to the Northwest Wisconsin Regional Economic Development Fund, Inc. (NWREDF). NWRPC staff, during the first eleven months of 2007, have reviewed thirty applications.
NWBDC, WBIC and NWREDF loans totaling $987,286 have been awarded to twenty regional businesses. These businesses have committed to the creation and/or retention of 103 jobs, and the leveraging of $7,816,807 of private and other public funds.
The cost per job created and/or retained is $9,585 per job. The leverage ratio is $7.92 of private and other public funds for every dollar of NWBDC, WBIC and NWREDF funds lent. Click link below to view loan activity for 2007.
