2007 proved to be a busy year for the GIS Specialist.? The Taylor County Comprehensive Plan Maps were completed, as well as land use maps for the entire county. The required maps for the Iron County Hazard Mitigation Plan were also completed.? Staff worked with the DNR to create or update various maps and GIS data for use in wild fire and catastrophic event planning and also assisted in collection, compiling, and preparing the data for the Lake Superior public access study? (for web as well as hard copy delivery). Various updates to?? zoning, land use, and future land use maps for local jurisdictions were also worked on in 2007.
