February Employee Spotlight: Kimberly Gifford

We are very excited to proudly highlight each month someone from our wonderful staff here at NWRPC! Our first employee to be "spotlighted" is Kimberly Gifford, Administrative Secretary/Housing Development Specialist.

Kimberly Gifford

Tell us a little about yourself:

I grew up in Cameron, WI and attended college at UW Barron County and UW River Falls. I currently reside in Trego with my future husband Travis and our 3 dogs…a Jack Russell Terrier named Spuz, a Chocolate Lab named Boss and a Siberian Huskie named Kona. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with Travis and our fur children, our friends and family, being outdoors, working out and playing or watching sports.

What is your role at NWRPC and what are you currently working on?

I have recently become a Housing Development Specialist here at NWRPC. Currently, I mail and review applications, prepare and mail bid packets and bid comparisons, and will be doing mortgage signing with clients shortly. I have also taken over the NWAH HOME program and continue to learn all the ins and outs. In addition to assisting in the housing department, I am the Administrative Secretary overseeing the day to day office operations and I am also the assistant to the Executive Director (Myron). I plan and host our monthly, annual and semi-annual Executive Committee meetings.

How long have you worked for NWRPC and what has been your proudest moment working here?

I have worked for NWRPC for 10 ½ years. My proudest moment has been reaching 10 years of commitment to my work, staff and the communities and members of our 10 County Region.

What do you enjoy most about working at NWRPC?

I enjoy getting to wear a variety of hats here at NWRPC so that each day is different and challenging. I also enjoy the work and assistance that we provide to the 10 County Region and the sense of pride that brings.

What’s your personal motto?

It’s the simple things in life!

Lastly, as a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a teacher and coach growing up.
